I still have a lot of other pictures to share from Christmas, of course, but I wanted to interrupt the Christmas pictures to tell you what Santa brought Mommy for Christmas.
Chloe is potty trained!!!!
I can't believe it.
We had put her back in pull-ups over Christmas which was just like diapers for her. In fact, when we asked her if she needed to go potty, she would say, "No, I'll just pee in my pull-up." So, after Christmas we decided to try one more time cold-turkey. Monday and Tuesday were not good days. She had tons and tons of accidents. I was pretty sure it was not going to work. Wednesday morning was off to a decent start, but Evan had a playdate that afternoon with Carson and his twin brothers. I was afraid I would be distracted, so I put a pull up on her again. To my GREAT surprise, she came running to tell me she had to go pee-pee. And from that point on she has not had an accident. She even gets up out of bed to go (even though we still have her in diapers at night and naps). She is doing WONDERFULLY! Whew! I guess it finally clicked.
The thing I love most about it (besides not having to buy diapers anymore, or worry about why she isn't getting it) is the look of amazement on her face and her HUGE grin every single time she pee-pees in the potty! She gets so excited and it is so cute. I love that little smile.
Thank you Santa. I guess I was a good girl after all.

Cookies for Santa
We had a great time making and decorating sugar cookies for Santa. Evan and Chloe made sure there were plenty of sprinkles on Santa's cookies (sometimes they would dump half a container onto one cookie). And miraculously they were able to save a few for Santa. Evan had originally said he would give Santa 8 cookies, but by the time we were finished he said he would leave him 7, ha! We told him we though 4 would be fine since Santa would be getting cookies at every house he went to that night:).
Christmas at Grammy's
We had a wonderful Christmas at Grammy's this year. The food was delicious, the kids got way too much stuff, spending time with family was wonderful, and it was just a blast as always!
Dollywood Take 2
We made it back to Dollywood for a second visit during Winterfest. Our main objective this time was to visit good old Santa Claus. We had lots of fun riding a few rides as well.
Evan loves the dragon!
Turns out Chloe was not too excited about seeing old Santa after all. Mommy unexpectedly ended up sitting by Santa, too.
She finally warmed up enough to tell him what she wanted for Christmas, (Strawberry Shortcake). Since this was the first Santa had heard about it, we weren't sure he would have time to fill that order.
We saw Santa again as we were eating at Aunt Granny's. Evan suspiciously wanted to know if it was the same Santa as he'd seen earlier and then was concerned that this Santa asked him what he wanted for Christmas after he had just told him at the other place. Woops!
Still looking suspicious.
