Evan has once again embarked on a new sport- Cross Country. Cross Country is the only sport a 5th grader can participate in at North Middle School, so Evan signed right up. So, far he really likes it and he's doing pretty well. He's had two meets so far.

Matthew at the starting line of the first meet: Boys, do your best. Go out there and push each other.
Cooper (Evan's friend): So, we can just push the other guys down if they get near us?
Evan's second meet was a little slower than his first. He ran a 7:34, which is amazing considering he ran it with ONE SHOE. A kid stepped on his foot right off the start and he lost his shoe, but just kept running with one shoe. That's some determination.
