Late Night Antics
Since we have been off, Chloe has adopted the sleeping habits of a teenager. She stays up until midnight, sleeps until 9 or 10, crashes in the late afternoon, and then is not tired at bedtime so she stays up until midnight. Being the good parents we are, we have just let her. She watches cartoons the family room or plays in the playroom and we watch Vampire Diaries in the bedroom. Yes, we are going for parents of the year.
Last night, she came in and told us, "I really want to draw what I want to be when I grow up. I would love to do that."
So, Matthew got her some drawing supplies.She came in a few minutes later and said, "Daddy, I know you have magic to fix things. Can you fix my crayon?"
Matthew had to tell her that his magic didn't work on crayons, but he could tape it. She said, he needed to use "stotch tape" because it is the "tickiest."
A few minutes later, she brought us her picture. It was her as a fireman and she had "even signed her name on it, so they would know she wanted to be a fireman."
A little while later she came in to show us the picture she had drawn of "Wild Eagle, the scariest roller coaster ever!" (new at Dollywood).
She also drew several pictures of her favorite rides at Disney. She told us about each picture very seriously and with much detail. And now she is still asleep at 10:22. Next week will be super hard on all of us.
