First Dollywood Trip of the Year!

Someday I will have to drag out all of the car and carousel pictures I have throughout the years. Can't believe Evan is driving on his own now! He won't even let me ride with him!

I was on the tiniest horse on the carousel. Poor horsey, ha!

I'm not sure Evan's face looks like he's having fun, ha!

Slowing back down, he can smile now.

Dollywood was really crowded, so we didn't get to ride much, but it was nice to walk around in the beautiful sunshine! Looking forward to our next trip and hoping I can talk Matthew into getting on Wild Eagle!

The Hunt is On!

The Rules of the Hunt:
1. Each child is allowed to find exactly 36 eggs.
2. Once a child has found 36 eggs, he or she must then help the other child find the rest of his or her eggs.
3. Under no circumstance, should any child at any time scream or cry.

After our practice hunt, we learned a few things. After implementing a few rules, we had a beautiful, happy, and peaceful egg hunt at Grandmother and Granddaddy's following a delicious lunch. The weather was absolutely gorgeous! It was perfect day to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord.

Uh-oh, looks like the rules are breaking down...

Whew, peace has been restored.

Happy Easter!

In Our Easter Best

We did not get any new clothes this year for Easter. Honestly, I looked for clothes for the kids a couple of different times and just didn't find anything that I liked. I felt a little bad, but the kids could care less about new Easter clothes. Therefore we didn't worry about what we would wear this year, instead, we focused more on the real reason for Easter. We read several children's versions of the Easter story and spent time discussing what Jesus did for us. When we went to church on Sunday, we may not have been in brand new clothes, but the kids new what was happening and understood the Easter play. That was the best part of Easter this year.

Easter Morning

 The kids were so excited with their Easter goodies and enjoyed finding their hidden, candy-filled eggs! We enjoyed no screaming and fighting while they hunted in separate rooms (smart bunny!).
