We had a total solar eclipse on August 21, 2017. It was a once-in-a-lifetime event and we were so fortunate to experience it. It was way cooler than I even thought it would be. The eclipse occurred around 2:30 in the afternoon and for about 2 1/2 minutes it was just like it was the middle of the night. The crickets and cicadas were all singing. The temperature probably dropped 10 degrees or more. The sky was totally dark and all the street lights came on. Prior to and after the complete eclipse we experienced a 360 degree sunset. It was really something to behold. It was also amazing that as the moon moved on, with even just a sliver of the sun showing it became light and warm again. Really lets you know the power of the sun. God's glory is something to behold!
