Oh, Happy Day!
Today is baptism day for Evan. He asked Jesus to save him at the Upward Awards ceremony and we went to visit Pastor Chris to make sure that he fully understood the decision he was making. This is such a very happy day for me as a mom. I can't explain the emotion when I watched him rise up from the water. I've never been happier. I am so unbelievably thankful for a God who gave His son so that my son may have everlasting life.
I love you so much, Evan, and I am so proud of you for the decision you have made. This is one of the most important decisions you can ever make. Being a Christian will not always be easy, and you will definitely make mistakes. We all sin and fall short of the glory of God. But, you can rest assured that God will never forsake you and will guide your steps if you will seek Him with all your heart. From this day, forward, you will put on the armor of God and He will go before you.
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:10-18
Luke 3:16 “John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:”

Spring Break- Pigeon Forge
We had a great time on a mini-vacation in Pigeon Forge over Spring Break with Grandmother and Granddaddy. There were lots of fun educator deals, so we visited the Aquarium and Titanic Museum. Brian and Beth met us at the aquarium and we also ran into some friends there. It was a perfect little get-a-way!
