Addicted

Our plan for this summer was to get rid of the paci. I have convinced her to start leaving them in her bed during the day. She throws them back in her bed before we leave her bedroom and we sing, "Caroline's a big girl!". But, I think it may be a while before she is willing to give them up altogether. The first step is admitting you have a problem, Caroline. 

Hall of Fame

Matthew was recently inducted into the Loudon County Leadership Hall of Fame, which is sponsored by the Boys and Girls Club. He was honored along with the other inductees with a nice dinner, program, and a very heavy trophy. After the ceremony, one of our friends who was in attendance, jokingly said to me, "You are so lucky to be married to this guy!" But, I have to say, I believe he is right. I'm very proud of all of his accomplishments, his service to his community, and his devotion to his school and students, and the love he has for us, his family. I'm definitely a lucky lady.

Adoration

Evan and Chloe rarely agree about anything right now. They will try to play together and within 5 minutes World War 3 breaks out, every single time. Sometimes I wonder if they will EVER get along. But, then I'll catch glimpses of sweetness between them. Thoughtfulness. One will buy something for the other at that store, save the last of their favorite candy for them, show concern if they are sad or in trouble or hurt or sick. One thing that unites them is their love for Caroline. They both adore her and she is so lucky to have her Bubba and Sissy. She loves them, too, and when they play with her, she is the happiest little girl in the world!

Chloe's 9th Birthday Party

 Chloe had a great time at her 9th birthday party watching Dolphin Tale in the pool with a great group of girls. So much fun! Can't believe my baby girl is 9!
